Subjects Taught
Fourth Grade

I am 1999 graduate of Piedmont High School and a 2005 graduate of JSU. At JSU, I received my degree in elementary education.

In the fall of 2005, I started teaching at Piedmont Elementary School. During my first year, I taught music, art, drama, and a 3rd grade reading class. During that time, each grade level performed a musical during each holiday.  From 2006-2013, I taught 4th grade. While teaching 4th grade, I was departmentalized and mainly taught Science and Alabama History. When the 2013-2014 school year started, I was teaching 2nd grade. During the 2017-2018 school year, I will be teaching kindergarten.

I was born and raised in Piedmont. While in elementary school, I enjoyed performing in school plays and musicals, gymnastics, singing any chance I had, and taking tap, jazz, and ballet classes. During my middle and high school years, I found a love for cheerleading. I cheered for a total of five years rooting on the Piedmont Bulldogs! I also participated in the Blue Knights marching band for two years as a trumpet player and danceline member. I graduated in May of 1999 and enrolled at Jacksonville State University. While at JSU, I was a member of Alpha Xi Delta Sorority and participated in intramural sports. I graduated from JSU with a BS in Elementary Education in April of 2005.

I have been married to my husband, Corey for almost 13 years. We have four children, Hunter, Madison, Brock, and Trevor. In my spare time, I enjoy taking pictures, redoing furniture, and watching my children participate in their extracurricular activities.
